Dependent Visa Category O

Overview

Category O visas are intended for dependents of those coming to work or study in Thailand under Category B or ED visas. They can also be used for persons taking care of those studying in Thailand under an ED visa. Applicants must obtain these from a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General abroad before entering Thailand. Category O visas are valid for 90 days but can be extended upon arrival in Thailand. Application extensions should be filed at the same time as those of the family member who is working or studying in Thailand and the procedure is identical to that for procuring one-year Category B visas.

Required Documents

Applicants must present the following documents in order to obtain their 90 day Category O visa:

1.	Completed aT.M 7 application Form;
2.	Copy of passport or substitute document;
3.	One 4 X 6 cm Passport photo;
4.	Marriage certificate (in the case of dependent spouses);
5.	500 baht fee;
6.	Birth certificate (in the case of parents or children) and current medical original certificate;
7.	Evidence to identify that the supporter or the one being supported has Thai nationality or has residence in Thailand; and
8.	If an alien is the supporter, he must submit financial evidence, proof of employment, work permit and tax receipts
